Dima Bilan is a Russian actor and singer who began his career in 2000. To date he has released nine studio albums and several singles.
He represented his home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Athens with the song "Never Let You Go", finishing as runner-up to Finland's representative Lordi.
Returning two years later in Belgrade, he again represented his home country with the song "Believe", this time giving it its first-ever win with 272 points. This appearance also made him the first act to represent his country twice in the Contest.
In 2010, he recorded a demo of a possible Russian entry to that year's Contest in Oslo, but later withdrew it stating that it was too soon to return to the Contest.
He joined forces with former t.A.T.u member Yulia Volkova as entrants for the Russian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, but they finished as runner-up to the song "Party for Everybody" by Buranovskiye Babushki.
