Duane Benjamin Bailey (born 28 October 1991) is a New Zealand former professional basketball player who played in the New Zealand NBL and the Australian NBL.
Early life
[edit]Born in Auckland, Bailey played both rugby and basketball in primary school. In 2003 and 2004, he attended Rangeview Intermediate School. For high school, he attended Mount Albert Grammar School where he graduated Year 12 in 2009.[1] In 2010, he attended Fraser High School in Hamilton, New Zealand for one final year where he was a member of Fraser's national championship-winning team.[2]
As a junior, Bailey played in the Conference Basketball League for the JTB/Breakers in 2008 and for the Waikato Titans in 2010.[3][4]
Professional career

[edit]On 22 December 2010, Bailey signed a two-year deal with the Manawatu Jets of the New Zealand National Basketball League.[2] In his rookie season for the Jets, he averaged 4.8 points and 5.2 rebounds in 17 games.[5]

Dawayne Bailey is an American guitarist who has toured and recorded with Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band, Véronique Sanson, and Chicago.
Bailey was born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas. While still attending Manhattan High School in Kansas, he founded the band Rathbone, which developed a strong regional fan base. In 1972, Bailey and Rathbone moved to Los Angeles to foster their musical career.
Career
[edit]Bailey released his first solo recording in 1982, a 45 rpm single of his song "Revenge of the Nurds". The release was suggested by Gerry Fialka, Bailey’s first manager[1] who was also Executive Producer.[2]
Bailey then joined Gerard McMahon's band in summer 1982 and recorded No Looking Back on Full Moon/Warner Bros. which was released in 1983. While playing live shows with McMahon's band, Bailey was requested by Bob Seger's office to fly to Detroit and audition for Seger & The Silver Bullet Band. Bailey joined Seger's band in Feb 1983 and sang backing vocals and played lead guitar on Seger's The Distance tour, recorded Seger's Like a Rock album and performed in several videos.
