With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we bid farewell to John Mark Dalton, who peacefully passed away on the morning of July 25, 2023. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and sibling. He left an unforgettable mark on the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on January 27, 1957, to Lawrence Edward Dalton and Helen Mae Cox Dalton. John was born eighth out of the nine children and grew up on a farm in West Jordan. After graduating from Delta High School in 1975 and attending SUU in Cedar City, he embarked on a journey that led him to meet the love of his life, Julie Eckley. They shared a life in West Valley City before relocating to Ontario, Oregon, where they spent several years before finding their dream home in Fairview, Utah.
John had a long prestigious career in food manufacturing and was well respected by those he worked with. He was a passionate supporter of the Utah Utes and the St. Louis Cardinals, always cheering them on with unwavering loyalty. John was a wonderful cook. He always made enough food to feed a small army because he didn’t want anyone to go hungry. He also loved listening to music and had a very diverse playlist.
